I think e-life has taken over when you go on an e-witch hunt to try to find out who has said something about you in the subscriber's area.

I am appreciative of my e-life - though sometimes embarassed by it too - it was there to help me over some really rough spots in my life.

It helped me to get social again, after a devastating divorce.
It taught me how to do stuff on the computer - I've never taken a computer class.
It taught me how to better express myself in written form.
I feel better connected to my Chicana self, through the Chicano slang and stuff I read on Soy. I never hear spanish spoken except when I "hear" it on Soy.

I know stuff about people that I would never have known otherwise. And people know stuff about me, stuff I have never spoken out loud.

There have been times in the past 5 yrs when I left work on Saturday at 6pm and did not speak out loud to another person until Wednesday at 8am. But, I was on-line and "speaking" to people from all over the world.

I needed that. I needed to be social without an emotional attachment. Its when you go on-line and get all emotional and expect others to not react that gets you in trouble.

Anyways thats my two cents for now
