Default Grandma's gone...

It's been a week ago today that I last saw my grandma alive. She passed the next morning, Friday.
When I got the call and I heard the shaky voice on the other end tell me that "grandma was gone", I was stunned.

In the days following I went through a number of emotions and feelings...denial, anger, frustration, sadness, fear, emptiness...but in the end, joy. My grandma was 90 years old, she lived a LONG life...and her passing was peaceful. We didn't lose her due to illness, she wasn't suffering...it was just her time to go.

So with this thread, I encourage you all to cherish the people in your lives that mean the world to you, appreciate them and let them know that you do, because one day, they, or even you, wont be here anymore...and for those who have lost those people in their lives, continue to live a life worthy of their memory, represent them through yourself. Although I went through an array of emotions, I can honestly say that regret never showed up.

Tru <3

May your grandma rest in peace. Like you said, she lived a long and full life. I'm sure she's looking over you and your family.

I'm sorry for your loss Tru, and my condolences go out to those who have recently lost loved ones.

It's not easy to go through as many of you know, but I would like to think your grandmas lived a long and fulfilling life. Thank you for that message Tru, one should always be there for the people they cherish and love. Life is unpredictable and can be cut short at any moment.

As Nina said, condolences to those who have lost loved ones...but nothing is REALLY lost if you had the privilege to have spent time and made memories with them.
