Tall Mexican-American women don't exist

In my world, at least, and by 'tall', I don't mean around 5'9", but well over 6'0".

At my campus, I regularly see women around my height (5'7 ½"), slightly shorter, and slightly taller. Those below me I don't pay much attention, since seeing short Mexican-American and Asian-American women is so commonplace and really not worthy discussing. Now and then I'll see one who totally eclipses me, and if I had to guess I'd say 6'2" isn't unheard of, especially for athletes. A lot of times, they're either white or black, but that really isn't surprising, since their men grow HUGE, or at least a lot taller than Mexican-American men, on average. The tallest person I knew on a first name basis was actually around 7 ft tall and Mex-Am; he stood out twice as much.

That said, I can't think of any I've seen and identified as Mex-Am, or known personally, who towered over 6'0". As it stands, 5'8"-5'10" is considered 'tall' for Mexican-American women, and besides a few Miss Mexico contestants (probably of predominantly European descent), it's not too common at all.

So... experiences? I came across a Magdalena Cicuta from Sonora, Mexico who grew to be 6'9". Her surname is most common in Argentina and Italy, so I'm not sure if she was 'pure' European descent or not. Either way, I'm looking specifically for those of mixed or predominantly indigenous ancestry. Plains Indians average something like 5'10", and Navajo males are something like 5'9"? Indians from Oaxaca, Chiapas, Yucatan, etc are known for their short heights, but when it comes to those from the northern states, I'm clueless.

I'm sure they're hiding somewhere...

The tallest Mexican-American woman I've met was about 6'1" but she was of Swedish lineage (she was through and through Mexican, culture wise, but looked like a fucking Nordic). Of predominate Indigenous lineage, the tallest I've met has been about 5'9". She is from Chihuahua and well, looked Native.

Yeah, we're short.
I am 5'5" and taller than most of my other Mexican friends, but of course shorter than most if not all of my white friends. White people are so tall!! I do have male cousins who are plenty taller than me, my girl cousin is probably around 5'9" and the males maybe 6' add or take couple inches.

Yeah, 5'7"-5'9" (or 5'6"-5'8") seems to cover that nebulous 'grey zone' between the sexes, where you're not quite 'short' enough as a man, and not quite 'tall' enough as a woman. You're just average.

But even with my average height, I felt completely out of place at a friend's birthday party around two years ago, where even the guys were 5'4"-5'6". Really, besides a few guests, I was the tallest there, but this was just one family.

And... one of my younger brothers, who is a complete health nut, recently passed me at 5'9". I don't have the healthiest lifestyle, so it's not really a big surprise.

I have four brothers who range in height from 6'3" to 6'6" and my father is 6'5". My father's parents are both from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. I don't know how much European blood they have but I do have a lot of light haired and blue/green eyed relatives.

I am just average height.

My sister is 5'10. Not sure if that counts. She is seeing some guy.

Besides, I like my Mexican women short. 5'6 and below for me.

My family is short. My dad's tall: about 5''11 and I have cousins who are tall (but they're all Male).

The women in our family range from 5"0-5"6.

I'm 5"3. And I'm one of the "tall ones" .

People always assume I'm so tall and I'm not sure why. When I stand next to them in sandals or barefoot, they're like you're actually pretty short haha. I guess I'm average.

I know some tall Mexican Women (but again, my idea of tall is 5"6- 5"10).

Northern Mexico was sparsely populated before the conquest, and most of the major towns and cities were first founded by European settlers. But yeah, Nuevo Leon is known for having more than just a few gueros. It wouldn't be unheard of to have traceable European ancestry down the line.

Well over 6 foot is tall for anyone. According to Google, only about 3.9 percent of the U.S. male population is over 6'2".

I appreciate the offer, but I'm really in no shape for a serious long term relationship at the moment. Besides, Fresno is nearly 50% 'Hispanic', so I'm sure there has to be at least one not far from where I'm sitting now.

I live in a border city and the tallest Mexican American woman I have seen is at 5'8... I am 5'6 and consider myself to be fairly tall... When I go out I feel like I am towering over the crowd since the guys here are all 5'7 and down... definitely need to get out of here ASAP

nah, white people are gross. I'm tall for EL Paso. The only time I feel tall in L.A. Is when I'm in some of these Guatamalan neighborhoods where the dudes are like five three and the women are all under 5 feet.
