Default Photoshop Tutorial-How to make the Diagonal Scanline

This is my first time doing a tutorial...hope you understand and if you're confuse ask me...

1. Open a new document
2. Make the document 5 x 5 with a transperant backround

like so:

3. Zoom the document all out till 1600%
4. Choose the pencil tool (choose whichever color you like)
5. Draw a Diagonal line across

like so:

6. Once done: go to Edit>Define Pattern...
7. Name your pattern

8. Open the picture of your choice
9. Before you add the scanlines make a new layer by clicking the lower button in your layer box
10. go to Edit> Fill... once the box the dropdown menu next to "use:" and choose pattern...then click the box blow "custom pattern:" and click on the pattern we made
11. Once it fills the image with the pattern with can play with "opacity:" making the lines darker or lighter which ever you prefer
