I stand corrected!

However, I did state "our People" meaning those of us who are Base Native Americans.

Columbus started the "Indian" label believing he was in India, and he died still believing he was in India.

I spoke to Russell Means about this issue who stated he was born into being an Indian because of the BIA, and he will continue to allow being called an Indian - but he still knows that he is not an Indian.

I think he gets it now. Once he was made the breakthrough that when someone says "God bless America" he/she is not talking about Guatamala, it was down hill.

This thread reminds me of this time this Costa Rican guy (who later end being a friend of mine) in college in a speech class full of Chicanos was bragging about the first Latino in Space and how he was Costa Rican he kept going on and on, then we asked the dude’s name and this guy said "Miguelito Chang."
