Default Government Shutdown

I don't really know whats up or what needs to be done. All I know is that my local IRS office was closed, for which I needed some statements and documents from. And I feel for those people whole don't have work cause of it. How has this thing affected y'all in any way?

It's not a full shut down which is a bit silly.

If they did a full shut down, people who dislike the government or large government would start praising it once it opened again.

We will wait until it is born. If the kid is black like the other 10, then clearly it's not mine.

The people I know who work directly for the federal government are going to get paid for the time they weren't working. They knew it was coming so they weren't sweating it. They were all at home playing GTAV and bbq'ing.

They were interviewing a couple on the local news who both work for the feds about how they were panicking over not getting their paychecks. Not being able to pay bills and such. Such craziness. They are clearing easy over 150K between the two. How they do not have savings to at least cover them for a month is beyond me. What do they recommend? At least 6 months of living expenses? Yeah so they can go eat some dicks.

Anyway, everything is up and running. Now I can go do Skyline Drive goddammit.

Along with Virginia and D.C., yes. A lot of private firms do federal work but since its by contract (at least in my field), work wasn't affected.
