Default Book your currently reading 2

Seems the original thread got the ax, possibly because the person who started it got the boot.

Anywho, what book are you currently reading, discuss it if ya want.

Right now, i am reading "Antelope Wife". Not a bad book, a little odd at first. Goes through several generations and kind of the story of how they got to where they are and how the paths of the same people, or their familys intertwine. Hard to explain.

Just bout done with it, then going to start on, "No Mexicans, No Women, No Dogs."

I'm reading "!Ask A Mexican!" by Gustavo Arellano. I have read his column plenty of times, but never the book.

Just finished reading "Chia" by ayerza and coates. They mention some uses of the chia with the aztecs but they never got around to going in depth. The book is more about Chia and it's nutritional value. This book seems like an advertisement for chia, rather than a book about it. Was alright, could of provided more info about it's ancient uses.

Just finished reading "There's No Jose Here: Following the Hidden Lives of Mexican Immigrants" by Gabriel Thompson.

Really enjoyed it. Finished it in less than 6 hours.

Gonna start reading "The Labyrinth of Solitude" by Octavio Paz.

I'm sure you have, I don't know a Mexican that hasn't. Its by Victor Villasenor. He also has a sequel to Rain of Gold, called: 13 Senses: A Memoir. I actually read that one first. And then a soy member recommended Rain of Gold. Thanks soy member, I love it!! =).

Right now I have two books I'm working on

and working on an audio book version of

(That is if I can get the stupid audio book apps to work on my phone.

I'm currently on a quest to read at least 100 class lit books. Its a slow process but enjoyable non the less.

Sometimes when I'm bored I'll go back and re-read a certain book, kinda like re-watching a movie and seeing things you missed the first time so I'm re-reading the Lotus Sutra and the Dhammapada - when I'm finished with those I'll re-read The Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz

If the last day of the month falls on a friday you have until the 5th business day of the new month to renew your inspection sticker before you can get cited for it being expired.
