......... I hate romances - unless its part of the bigger picture. I like psychological thrillers. Right now the mysteries I am reading are like the Agatha Christie variety...but the same person is the "detective" so the story line continues for 8 books.

Wow! Thats some good reading.

if I am in the middle of a good book - I get cranky
Sometimes, I've even been confused on what was real or not - did I read it in a book? or did I see it on TV? or was it on the news - I have to be careful

books helped me escape when I needed it.....I guess it still does

CHavela, yes i like the book. I posted about it, you said IT SOUNDED INTERESTING when you responded to the thread, lol. Or maybe it was when i quoted it once in another thread. But either way, YES I LIKE THE BOOK, but it is a short book. It is about 125 pgs or so.

okay, I will go with nelio's suggestion, being that he is the only that recommended anything, LOL.

I will pick it up this week. This book club is going to start, even if I am the only one reading and nelio and myself are the only ones discussing it.

(i hope it's not hard to find)

When the idea of the book club had started out, way back in the day, I had created an amazon account to help earn some funds for this website. When a book was decided on, I searched for it on Amazon.com and then posted a link to allow people to purchase the book. When people purchased the book via the link, we earned a small percentage from the sale.

Might want to re-instate that.

Wut if we get the book on cd or tape or download it for free from somehere and we listen to a book instead of reading it, does this count as part of the book club rules?

I do not know. If I had access to edit other people's posts... I would edit the thread which states which book will be read for that period. In the initial post, I would include a thumbnail link for the book so people can purchase it.
