It looks like it will be Drink Cultura. You guys will like this book. I guess I will be reading it again. In fact, I have read a few of those books.

In the Language of Kings sounds interesting.

It is an Anthology of Meso-american literature from the Nahuas of Mexico. It includes poetry, philosophy, history, legends of heros, sacred stories, and cosmology all fused together .

I guarantee it will put you in touch with your roots.... your real roots that this society has tried so hard to erase and hide.

Is it available at any bookstore? I would like to read it.

history usually alwyas catches my attention.
culture ones are ok to.
politics not really interested. kinda boring to me.
novels? well depends on the novel and the content.
Cosmology that could be interesting.

but these are just true books. as in things thathave happened. i am a sci-fi fan as well. or well anythign to do with the imagination. so fiction is good as well. i usually like to put myself in those kinda books if they are good enough.

Drink Cultura is the winner everyone.

Oct 1st is the deadline (so to say) for everyone to have bought or 'rented' the book. I will post a new thread come this date for more precise instructions. BUT PLEASE have your book by 10/01/04. so we can read the first 2 or 3 chapters in the first week and have our first discussion by the 8th. Thanks for voting everyone!

once again, the winner:

"Drink Cultura"

I havent actually seen the book, so i dont know how long these chapters really are. Ill do my best to go out tonignt and pick up my copy. Ill try to get this straightened out asap.

X.icano I like your list, hey can we read something from there next???

Have you heard of Forgotten Founders??? It's about how Benjamin Franklin's notion of democracy, and much of the US constitution was based on Iroquois democracy... Haven't read it but I heard it's amazing.
