Raiders had a chance against Pitt if they'd gotten there, Pitt is hurting right now and it woulda been in Oakland. Fuckin shame about this season..

Oakland would've have had a much better chance @ beating the Steelers than the Denver Donkeys do, that's for sure.

Cause that new GM wants complete control. Something he wouldn't have had w/Hue Jackson there.

more like McKenzie flexing his muscles. Mark is incapable of making decisions. People around him were making calls. Team needed a GM to start making those calls and take control.

very true. McKenzie is planning to make big changes. He thought that having jackson there would more than likely mean bumping heads with him too much during the season.

as I told another friend, this "new era", as McKenzie puts it, might be the best/worst decision the raiders have made in the last 20 years....(it will beat the firing of Gruden if this "new era" fails)

I liked Jackson, but I understand why it was done. Jackson's contract makes him accountable solely to the owner, which was fine when Al was alive. But his death and the role Jackson took after that, making the personnell decisions now mixed with the bringing in of a new GM would've probably create a power struggle situation for new owner Mark, between GM and Head Coach. It's kind of the smart thing I guess.
