Pac lost his chance at a 50-50 split with his performance vs jmm. Mayweather makes a good point with the Ali comment, but one thing is being forced to fight by fans when you should retire and another thing is ducking fighters. Pac should take less just like mayweather took less vs oscar.

I wouldn't say FOY only because Salido dominated the fight.. however round 9 is definitely round of the Decade material.. Absolutely brutal!!.. Best slugfest round of boxing in a Long time.

I think JuanMa may be done unless he changes his style. He would have no business in the ring against Gamboa ..

The undercard was pretty stout too.. Mikey Garcia may have just fought himself into a Title match against Salido.

That boys and girls could spell EPIC fight.

You do have to give Juan Ma credit, he went out fighting.. he could have easily gotten on his bicycle, but he toughed it up and went out on his shield.. as well, he did apologize after seeing the tape for his remarks (and after his head cleared).

I don't think Juan Ma would have said the things he said if he wasn't beaten loopy.. He was more than likely concussed .. that was a brutal beating he took.

Salido beat him worse the second time. The first fight would have been maybe where Juan Ma had a case for a bad stoppage, the second was as clean a stoppage as you can get without someone getting hurt or killed.

On another note.. I'm kinda pissed at Gamboa for pulling out of the Rios fight... That was going to be epic.. How the hell do you call someone out and then back out because of "contract issues".. Figures he's been hanging around ChickenShit Floyd and his advisors..

Sergio Martinez fought a good fight Saturday.. He fought a tough guy and once he figured out his style put an ass whoopin on him.

Morales - Garcia should be a good fight tomorrow!

on the under card Kirkland v Molina should be a barn burner..

Good Weekend For Boxing..

I think we may have seen the last significant fight for Erik "El Terible" Morales.

He was schooling a young up and coming fighter in Danny Garcia, but didn't have enough gas in the tank to close the show...

Very Weird end to the Kirkland Molina fight.. Molina exposed Kirkland for what he is.. an explosive decent fighter.. put him in a ring with another brawler like Angulo and you have fireworks and Kirkland is a world beater.. put him in with a skilled smarter boxer like Molina (who keeps getting the short end of the stick.. ) and he's going to have trouble.. He has no business in the ring against top tier fighters.. Martinez will kill him.. Chavez just may look good against, Dzinzurik will box circles around him as would Paul Williams Felix Sturm Martirosyan, Cotto and "Canelo" will eat his lunch...

Gonna have to go back and take a look at some Heavyweight scraps that occurred as they apparently were pretty decent ..

Looks like Zab Judah put a bit of a show this weekend as well...

Over all a good weekend for Boxing..

I'm not seeing anything of much note in April.. Except a PPV event on the 14th .. I won't pay a dime for it.. I might if Gamboa were fighting Rios.. it ain't happening and Rios is fighting a nobody.. so...

Next big weekend will be on Cinco de Mayo with Mayweather and Cotto and The Canelo Mosely Under card.. should be a good show..

Molina got short-ended again, the last two rounds woulda been good...zab schooled Vernon pretty bad too. And morales fought well just ran outta gas, the young Garcia fought Damn good towards the end though. Adamek's fight was good too, best hw fight I've seen in a long time...

You my friend are sports Idiot Savant... Minus the Savant..

Cotto is easily the best boxer Mayweather has fought in 10 years.. which isn't saying much because he's only fought sporadically since..

Victor Ortiz 9/17/2011
ShaneMosley 5/1/2010
Juan Manuel Márquez 9/19/2009
Ricky Hatton 12/8/2007
Oscar De La Hoya 5/5/2007
Carlos Baldomir 11/4/2006
Zab Judah 4/8/2006
Sharmba Mitchell 11/19/2005
Arturo Gatti 6/25/2005
Henry Bruseles 1/22/2005
DeMarcus Corley 5/22/2004
Phillip N'dou 11/1/2003
Victoriano Sosa 4/19/2003
José Luis Castillo 12/7/2002
José Luis Castillo 4/20/2002

His undefeated record is a joke..

He had trouble with Castillo (Castillo 1) With Zab Judah a washed up De LaHoya and had to cheap shot Ortiz to win..

I don't expect Cotto to win, but he certainly will not be embarassed by CSF..

He beat an overrated Hatton and pitched a shutout against an aging and bloated Marquez who he outweighed by 15 lbs on fight day and frankly had Ortiz not been such a dumbass he could have beat him ..

No Chance?

Floyd Panicked and took the punk way out.. Ortiz was starting to bully him and was starting to land some hard body shots..

Having said that.. Cotto is smarter than Ortiz and showed more balls in his last 4 fights than CSF has his whole damned career.

The way I saw it, Ortiz got frustrated about not being able to land and resorted to fighting dirty. Those headbutts he threw by leaving his feet could have had him dq'd...Floyd fought clean.

Legal doesn't mean clean... Floyd's a dirty fighter..

But would you disagree that Cotto's the best he's faced since Castillo?

I thought his fights vs hatton and delahoya were risky when he took them, tho in hindsight they don't seem that way. Cotto at 150 should be a good fight tho, can't argue that...

de la hoya is faster than cotto and he still had a hard time finding PBF

this floyd/cotto is being announce like it's the fight of the decade. smh. cotto thinks he has the blueprint on how to defeat floyd, just like the rest of em. lol. this fight is over in the 10 round if not sooner

floyd is jus being nice to him accepting the fight at the weight class they are fightin in

This looks like a pretty good Idea

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/boxing-...7wriNU3diUxLYF

Millionaire actually putting money into the development of the sport instead of just leaching it dry.

While I know he eventually looks to make money off the sport, he also wants to see it succeed. Wish more promoter types thought about the betterment of the sport as opposed to just their bottom line.

Cotto - Gayweather this weekend.. I don't expect much, I fully expect CSF to crawl into his shell and potshot Cotto to death to boring ass win.. I do however put out the caveat that if Cotto can get to Gayweathers body early and often.. he could might possibly wear him down and catch him late.

The Alvarez - Oldsley fight should be Moselys final match.. Not that it will be but it should be...I kind of want Mosely to put up a good fight Just to see how Canelo handles adversity, but I have a feeling the young'n will be too much for a faded Shane..

And the rest of the card is a joke..

Might head to El Chuco to watch the Chavez Jr Lee Fight in June.. should be a good scrap as Andy Lee is a pretty tough guy and a decent boxer.
