Default Atlas of native communities of Mexico

http://www.cdi.gob.mx/index.php?opti...&Itemid=200027

This only has native communities that still exist to this day.

That is badass. Now to find one that zooms in more to show where these communities are within the states. It's sad how places that were considered indigenous fifty years ago or less are now seen as Mexican simply because the people began using Spanish more than the local languages.

There was one that did, but that site is no longer in service.

This is pretty cool.. but.. it says there are no indiginous people in Zacatecas. Hmmm on my Gma's side there all Indians from Zacatecas.. sad to say dont know which tribe.. and I have researched all the way back to 1700's. of course through church records ..just says Indios.. and when I went to Zac. they said they had no info because of the time of the revoulution when everything burned up.. crazy because I found most of all my research here in the states yet they dont have it? I did speak to a historian who told me that in those times they enslaved many Indian people to work the silver mines so it could be any tribe. Thanks though that site is pretty cool.
