Then you may not like Tom's of Maine either. However, Tom's of Maine got bought out by Colgate so their products might be a little tastier now. I switched to the TJ's stuff before the merger so I never tasted the "new" Tom's of Maine, although I notice that they now have Strawberry flavored, which they didn't have before.

Toothpaste
Trader Joes brand!

Trader Joe's brand products are great. I have not been dissatisfied with anything I buy there.

Here's another:

PENCILS!

Do not buy those dollar store pencils! Those things are the worst! They don't sharpen well at all!

I used to be a SONY guy. My TV, DVD player, video camera all had to be SONY. Then I looked back on a decade of spending and was taken aback by all the money I had spent on electronics.

I decided to go on the cheap. I bought this DVD burner made by ILO. It only cost like $100 but then it only lasted about a year.

Now I am re-thinking my stance of picking up an off-brand Plasma or LCD screen. I guess I am gonna have to bite the bullet and cough up the cash.

For anything video---I will have to stand by SONY.

True story. Brand names in electronics do matter. You have to pay for quality. Better parts used, better quality.

Cars are a bit trickier to gauge when it comes to the bigger names. You'll always find someone to say something bad about any automaker.

I trust the japos the most.

I'll try to keep that in mind the next time they try to get me to part with my money at BestBuy or BrandSmart.

I get knock off all day wear lipstick which is supposed to be STILA but its the Sephora brand. Then I make it stay with a name brand "too faced lip insurance" primer. It defeats the purpose of saving money..but I can use the lip primer with any other dollar lipstick and it stays on as well as a stila, urban decay or No7 lipstick brand.
