Default I need to gain a little weight

...healthily (don't know if that's a word).

I'm beginning to feel uncomfortable with my body.
I think I've lost some weight, and I was only 120lbs at 5'4 to begin with.
I haven't weighed myself lately cuz I never worried about my weight before but now, the jeans that used to fit me kind of snug, are starting to fit loose. I've been having to throw them in the dryer before I wear them each time so that they shrink a little

I think it started ever since I moved out of my parents'.
I'd always get home and eat like a pig but now, living on my own, I never really have time to cook. Most of the time I get home from school and only have like 10 min before I have to leave for work. When I get home from work around 8 o'clock, I bust my ass trying to finish the hw that's due the next morning...I don't have time to worry about cooking. And there's never a break, I'm taking an overloaded schedule this semester so I have deadlines to meet all the time. At the same time, I have to make enough money to pay my rent & bills so I always try to pick up as many hours as I can at work, hoping I'll make enough to have some spending $$ left over. So when I eat, my meals are not very healthy. I also think this may be the reason why I feel so tired all the time - I have like no energy anymore!

Ok, please don't think I'm like stick figure, anorexic thin! I'm not.
I'd just like a little more meat on my bones....I think my butt n boobs are starting to shrink

Is there any health freaks out there who can give me some tips on how to gain a little weight, what kind of foods to eat and what else I could do..'

Or should I just go out and get pregnant???

maybe on days off have you mom or yourself cook a few meals to store in containers so at least thru the week you can home cooked meal to heat at home. saves you money from eating unhealthy foods and recieve more nutrients from wat ever may be. take snacks to work..carrot, sticks bananas, any type fruit..nuts, grain bats to at least get you thru the day. deli meats to make sandwhiches..you should google on the net, sure you can recieve plenty of good tips. if ever running short on cash, just punch my buttons..i'll western union some money

Well my problem is not that I don't know how to cook, I'm a pretty good cook. And yeah sometimes if I don't have other things to do I will cook on my days off from work but that's only like twice a week.
And I always say Im gonna make myself a fruit salad for work and I never do....

pasta is cheap and quick to cook, and healthy too. carbs give you energy , so you wont have the tired feeling,. also just eating a few servings of fruits and vegetable a day will help give you better energy, prefereably bananas. Peanut butter is a good source of protein and is healthy, the natural kind is better than the normal processed kind.
if your on the go, by a head of romaine lettuce, some tomatoes, some cucumbers and some cheese. and eat off that for a few days. buying lean lunch meats from the deli are pretty good. not the packaged stuff. stick to the chicken and turkey breast. and if you dont feel like a sandwhich. you can always chop the lunch meat into slices and add it to the salad. hope this helps.

Orale! I wish I lived near you to help you out...going to school and working not having time to eat (not having enough time to fix something to eat)...Wheels got good ideas.

fix yourself some hoagie sandwiches and wrap them up and keep them in your fridge (make sure to date them )....when you do fix meals (twice a week) prepare various meals (your favorite) and freeze them so that you just have to microwave them when doing your homework.

buy yourself plenty of fruit and nuts to snack on, even dried fruit is good.


Hey wait a minute aren't you in a relationship?.....why don't your man cook for you?

When you skip a meal make sure you have a protein shake or a protein bar, if you aren't eating a lot have some vitamins as well and some b12 and calcium, if you don't take care of your self you can end up with an ulcer and anemic, and ulcers are very painful! Just try to buy food that you can eat on the go, like drinkable yogurts or oatmeal bars, things like that....

And I was thinkin of proposing to you via your post in the marriage age thread over there........Can you eat like before bed? You know when you're doing nothing but just lay/sit down munch off a couple bags of potato chips and stuff, try eating more meat, it's why they say Mexicans in Mexico are fat and has become the fattest country next to the US ....

Yeah, I know you'd fatten me up. I do have a bf..and he was actually staying w/me for like a month and he would cook for me I swear, that month he was there, I felt like I was eating 24/7. We eat a lot when we're together..weird. He's not staying with me anymore, he lives like an hour away now but every time we see each other, he always makes sure I eat - even when I'm not hungry. I know this is gonna effect me in the long run that's why I'm trying to fix it now. Thanks for your input

this is the exact one i took. I noticed that i gained weight after I stopped working out and kept drinking this out of habit.

Well maby if u go and order atleast 10 tacos 3 times a week and a big ass agua fresca and go to the store and go get the munchies....but alot like alot of chips and vegtables if u'd like that better,the point here is eat eat .......whats what i love to do but then noW i have to work on gettin rid of my fat ass stomach......pero its better to be like that a que te estes muriendo de hambre.i used to do the same thing lol about throwin the jeans in the dryer so they could shrink but yeah girl just eat eat whateve rit is as long as it tastes gOOD!!!! order some pizza or something u know....it could be the 10 tacos but make sure u eat them all!!!! or eat the left overs but dont waste anything......well..thats all i got

I would just eat healthy. It seems as though school is stressing you out which isn't cool. And fast food + stress = way uncool. So try to eat as healthy as you can. Someone recommended protein shakes, but I would stay away from those since most carry Aspartame. Go to an organic or vegan store and see what they have to offer concerning supplements. There's nothing better than getting your protein and vitamins from natural fruits and vegetables and seeds etc

get vanilla soy milk to eat with your vanilla granola cereal.

go to your local health food store and buy a jug of Woman's Protein Powder that has vitamins and minerals in it that you can add to your fruit salads, yogurt, cereal, milk, etc. so it can give you the nutrients you need to stay healthy, vibrant, aware and sexy.

Stay away from junk food as much as possible except maybe having a it once per week maybe.

Walk and stretch as much as possible, do push ups, pull ups, sit ups, lunges, and aerobics at home or wherever possible & convenient.

the first thing to do is to talk to your doctor and tell him your concerns cuz there might be other reasons for your weight loss he might want to run tests like a thyroid check.

he could refer you to a nutritionist......or you can go to your local gym and talk to them about your concerns i'm sure they have all the information you will want.

i've never worried about gaining wieght only losing weight.

you should workout with weights. the hottest girls have nice thick thighs and and a good overall body tone with a little cushion (a few extra pounds) over it. if you just straight up eat carbs, you might become flabby.
