Default City Rejects In-N-Out

I do too because of their MSG laden secret sauce amongst other things.

There are a lot of cities that would eagerly welcome an In-and-Out drive-through burger restaurant in their town.

But not San Juan Capistrano.

The South Orange County city has rejected plans for the popular eatery to locate on one of the city's main drags amid concerns that Del Obispo Street had turned into "Fast Food Alley" and "Cholesterol Row."

Councilman Tom Hribar, who proposed the ban on new drive-throughs on the street, told the Orange County Register that another such restaurant would further clog already bad traffic. "That was the reason our citizens rebelled," Hribar said.

In-and-Out officials seem resigned to the idea that the San Juan Capistrano location is out of the question -- at least for now.

Fast Food Maven quoted In-N-Out executive Carl Van Fleet as saying: “As for San Juan Capistrano, that decision effectively kills that location for us. We will continue to look for opportunities in surrounding areas.”

The In-and-Out would have replaced a Sizzler restaurant.

What "other things"?

The article said the decision had more to do with traffic congestion than clogged arteries.

I still love IN-N-OUT.

San Juan Capistrano is a city full of white people and people living their for generations that don't really like outsiders.

And talking about MSG , a lot of foods/places are misleading with their No MSG labels/signs. What about natural flavors? Artificial flavorings? Spices? I know there are more misleading ingredients in foods. There are many things to hate than IN-N-OUT.

My brother (who is 40) asks waitresses "whats yummy here?" when we go out.
It almost makes me lose my appetite.

I don't hate In-N-Out. I simply do not patronize there any more. Well the majority of people don't know about MSG period. Thing about INnout is that they talk about natural ingredients. Then they have their secret sauce. I called the company more than once to find out what the ingredients were for that. They said it's propiertary info. Then I told em I was allergic to MSG and that Natural flavors, Soy protein or any kind of protein(pea protein etc) etc had up 40-50 % MSG

The lady didn't give me the ingredients unless I mentioned what I was allergic too. Secret sauce had soy oil too yummy

In-N-Out prints discreet references to Bible verses on their paper utensils. These consist of the book, chapter and number of the verse, not the actual text of the passage, written in small print on an inconspicuous part of the item. The practice began in the 1980s during Rich Snyder's presidency,[28] a reflection of the beliefs held by the Snyder family:

* Burger and cheeseburger wrappers

Revelation 3:20—"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me."

* Beverage cups and replicas

John 3:16—"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

* Milkshake cups

Proverbs 3:5—"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."

* Double-Double wrapper

Nahum 1:7—"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him."

* Paper water cups (no longer in use) for customers. They are now used for thirsty employees.

John 14:6—"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

* License plate keychain

1 Corinthians 13:13—"And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love."

Seems simple enough, right?
