XM Radio

I am using a loaner vehicle this week since my car is at the dealership, and it has XM Radio. I now want this in my car, since it wasn't offered at the time I purchased it.

I know I can do a Google search to learn about this, but I'd rather hear from people who have it. Where in LA or Orange County (CA) do you recommend I go for this?

I have had XM since it came out and I love it....I havent listened to regular radio since....You can listen to uncensored music anytime and anywhere....most of there units are plug and play which means you can pick up an Xm radio basicly anywhere.....You can even buy a unit that you can carry with you and add Mp3's. Any other questions please ask.

Thanks! Where would you recommend buying a unit? Best Buy? Frye's? I'm not very up on most electronics.

Honestly...anywhere you could find it the cheapest....do a general search for the unit that you like...and look for it online more than likely you will find a deal and some if not all of them come with some rebates aswell...my last unit came out to be free with the rebate....I would go to Frys or any other electronic store...and physically look at the units and so that you can make up your mind ..... then jump on-line and go shopping....and as far as set-up is super simple...plug into your lighter....place antenna(which is smaller than a match book) on your dash board...as long as the antenna can see sky it works very well....Good luck and let me know if you need further assistance.

most car stereos are xm capable. last one I bought has it but never use it. I bought it because it had an ipod connection(which serves as my own personal radio station)

you shouldn't be spending more than 150.00 unless you want the latest and greatest. I would stick with pioneer

it's all personal choice...you should check out their free trials they offer online and give them a listen...me, i prefer xm because of Opie & Anthony and Ron & Fez, the uncensored comedy channel, and the rappers they give shows to...but as stated before, there will be a merger so at least you wont lose out like the HD-DVD people did...

Yes, music is easy when you got tons of cds through the decades that you eventually convert to mp3s and put them on your own cloud server.

XM radio is crap. I guess when you buy a new car they give you a month or so free. I had it when I got my car and all it did was frustrate me. I only messed with it a few times and said, "Fuck you XM radio!" And, just Bluetoothed my phone to the system and listened to my own jams.
