Default Extra Virgin Cocunut Oil

Is a definite must try before you expire.

I recommend getting the Nutiva brand. I tried the Now and Specter brand, but didn't compare whatsoever to Nutiva. Anyways this stuff goes great with popcorn, rice, eggs and as a topping on a rice cake!

Because they're gluten intolerant? But really this stuff is way better than butter as a topping for popcorn. Rice cakes are good, not rice cake in Japanese which is mochi(soft and usually sweet) I usually get the unsalted non flavored ones.

If I get lazy and don't make any toasted chips then I eat the rice cakes.

It is very versatile.

Substitute for cooking oil-adds a nice exotic flavor
popcorn!

supposedly works as a skin and hair conditioner. chap stick etc

I've used it for baking. Don't know any recipes but I'll look some up.

Mochi forever! especially fresh mochi. If you live near l.a they have fresh mochi for new years in little tokyo and let people participate in pounding the dough.

Yeah they are within walking distance.Well about 8-12 minutes of walking if you don't mind it.

Little Tokyo has an ice cream and dessert store. With a bunch of restaurants and stores. They even have a grocery store with decent prices, so you can get mochi there and some miso soup paste and other crap from nipon.

I've only been to a few restaurants there. I can recommend the frying fish which is to the right of the ice cream shop. They have the rotating conveyor belt there, but the plates are not color coded to denote 1 dollar 2 etc like in nipon. I think there is another restaurant which might have it but I never went in there.

There is a museum which I thought was boring. Mainly deals with the treatment of the Japanese during ww2 and Japanese americans.

As for Olvera, it's worth checking out. They have outdoor stands that sell all kinds of Mexican items. Last time I went there they got a new food cart with Mexican candies etc There is a ,museum and an art gallery. nice peoples

Oh and China town is riiight next to Olvera street. 3 some?

I use coconut oil in place of lotion. I also make my own deodorant, and lip balm with coconut oil. Every once in a while I use it to cook, but for the most part I use extra virgin olive oil in my cooking. And I only use butter to cook my eggs in.
