Due to work restraints I was not able to participate as staff this year, but the conference is up and running right now!

Hi, I'm currently a junior and am applying to this, but I have a question. It says that we need a letter of recommendation from a community member, can that also be from a teacher or coach?

Hi Alo17! Welcome to Soy.
I would assume that you already have the first letter of recommendation from an educator at your school like a counselor, principal or teacher? The reason they want you to have a community member recommendation is to see how much you've invested in your own community already on your own. Is your coach a school coach? If you don't know anyone in the community that could write you a great letter of rec, then I would suggest to just have another educator/coach recommendation. But I do want to stress that you should REALLY try to find someone outside of the school to write you a letter of rec.
