Hell no we have not hit the bottom, the worst is yet to come.

As you can see in recent days the stock market is crashing. All the billions that Obama injected into the economy didn't help. The solution was to open up more lending to small business (as Palin said during the campaign) but he didn't do it. Now he is proposing it but he waited to long, the damage is done.
We are going to slide lower due to this. Stay away from stocks.

No, no, Mexicans are hard working and adaptive. Americans of Mexican descent, well, statistics say were lazy as fuck. I remember reading a UCLA study about the advancement of up to
about 4th generation of Mexican descended people and there isn't much advancement in terms of education. In other words, on average, these "Chicanos" become lazy redneck Americans.

I've seen my neighbors grow-up from about 8 years of age to 19. They were typical happy-go-lucky kids, even if a bit shy, when they were in grammar school and even into middle school. Now, they're some drunken-ass teens who, for the time being, have no interest in furthering their education. The old "they live in a bad neighborhood with dilapidated schools" excuse wont cut it here. They live in a relatively low-crime neighborhood, attended Marina del Rey Middle School and Venice High, have a stay-at-home mom, and a dad who makes enough to support them all.

The 19-year-old boy hangs out with some lil hoodlum looking wannabes (whom I suspect write on my car every time it gets dusty enough for them to leave their mark); the youngest daughter (she's about 17) was all fucked-up late one night last weekend making-out with some other drunk teenage girl on the stairs outside of my apartment. It was so weird seeing that; I remember her and her siblings bothering the shit out of me as they yealled and played tag right where she was having her lesbian experience.

I thought about loaning them my copies of Scared Straight, American Me, and Stand and Deliver in the hopes of inspiring them to do something a bit more constructive with their lives, but I decided to record their make-out session on my phone and upload to my youtube account instead.

ive known chicanos who were unaware of any of these Mexican film people. for some reason, some only know Edward James Olmos (Mex-American) and the movie "American Me"

people need to broaden their horizons, even white people know alot of this stuff, especially those studying spanish.

another Mexican actor who has crossed over is Kuno Becker. he starred in an internationally famous soccer trilogy "goal", "goal 2" and "goal 3".

another one is eduardo verastegui, the former blue-eyed model and soap opera actor from tamaulipas, mx. he is now making movies in the usa and has a jesus-themed movie coming up

you failed to see where he was going with the movie reference. It wasnt to insprie them to do such things, which probably would have been lost on the kids unless you sit there and tell them why your showing the movies, which is what you would have had to do with the movies you stated.

But it was to show them examples of where their actions are kind of leading them to. I would have thought that was obvious by the "scared straight" reference.

my point was that there are chicanos in the usa that dont know of those movies or artists. some dont know that a Mexican director was nominated for a best director Oscar several years ago and other stats like that. there is more than just Edward James Olmos and American Me is what I was trying to say.
